Perhaps health and wellbeing feel like a slog, or perhaps you are a sensitive being that frequently feels depleted. Maybe resourcing yourself feels like an uphill battle in times of unprecedented grief and outrage, growth and destruction? What strategies can we use to care for ourselves and loved ones that bring us back to connection, rather than individual burden, shame, and perfection?
In this class we will discuss strategies and frameworks for resourcing ourselves when we reach collapse. You will take with you an understanding of energetics, herbal allies, and rituals for a plan of care during states of burnout and depletion.
Sami Zimmerman is a current clinical intern in VCIH's student clinic. Sami grew up wading in creeks and roaming the woods of a small town on Ho-Chunk land, of what is now referred to as Cross Plains, Wisconsin. They currently work on a regenerative farm near their hometown, growing medicinal and native plants. They’re excited to support clients with a wide-range of ecologies, and are especially interested in addressing the systemic patterns that manifest in acute and chronic conditions. When they’re apart from the plants, they might be making a wedding cake, line dancing, or writing a poem.
