Every lineage of plant medicine uses systems of energetics as a way to describe physical, emotional, and spiritual experiences, and to then choose appropriate herbal therapeutics. This class is a participatory exploration of the ways that we can apply the axes of hot/cold, damp/dry, tense/lax, stagnant/atrophic through the lens of landscapes in the body.
No one judges the ocean for being wet and cold, or the desert for being hot and dry. Every ecological niche is valuable and has plants and organisms that thrive there. When we track these ecologies within, we can begin to cultivate not just embodiment, but also a sense of who in the plant world might be our allies.
