Support, community, and continuing education for VCIH Clinical alumnx
If you've completed the clinical program at VCIH, we know you have the skills and training to be an excellent herbalist — but making the leap from student to practitioner and business owner brings a whole new set of challenges.
This monthly clinical roundtable offers an online space for support as you build your practice, continue to grow your skills and resources, and stay rooted in the unique VCIH herbal community.
Monthly Clinical Roundtable
We'll meet once per month, for ninety minutes, to review cases and discuss clinical questions.
Want help with complicated energetic assessment, formula questions, ideas for client support? This is the time!
We'll prioritize clinical conversations to make sure folks who are seeing clients get timely support, but when we have extra time, we can cover business or practitioner skills questions, too.
This program is open to all VCIH clinical graduates — so in addition to familiar faces from your own cohort, you'll also have the chance to work with practitioners who share a similar clinical language and orientation, but can speak to different stages of business development, skill development, and clinical experience.
This program is currently only open to alumnx of the VCIH Clinical Program.
No, you don't have to start in January!
However ... we'll limit initial participation to 20 people so we can make sure everyone has a chance to get their questions and cases reviewed, so you may need to wait until spaces open up (or we start a second session!) if you want to join later.
And ... if we don't have a minimum of 10 participants, we won't be able to start the program at all!
You'll be billed $15 monthly, regardless of whether or not you attend the round table. You're welcome to sign up and try it out for a few months, and you can cancel at any time.
These do qualify as Supervised Clinical Experience Hours ... but if you've completed the VCIH Clinical Program you've already accrued more than the maximum 100 non-contact hours, so if RH certification is your goal, what you need is more direct clinical hours. This program will offer you ongoing support as you work with those clients and develop your business to attract new clients.
If you're already RH certified, these hours can count as continuing education.
That's totally okay! Hearing from other herbalists, and sharing your ideas, is a great way to stay connected to the practice of herbalism and apply your learning. And it's a great motivator to work toward your goals, whatever they are.
Currently, no. This year we're only offering the roundtable. But if you're only interested in individual sessions, please get in touch and let us know — we'll keep that in mind as we shape our plans in the future.
Yes, we will record sessions, and you can watch them any time in that calendar year.
It's totally fine to miss some sessions! But if you know you won't be able to join live most of the time, this may not be a great option for you. Please get in touch and we can talk more.
No, it's all 100% virtual! Those of you who participated in VCIH since 2020 are used to our online format. For those who haven't — we've found a vibrant, connected community online. And while it's not exactly the same as being together in person, our online learning space offers its own benefits, including accessibility for many more folks.
There will be a rotating cast of VCIH clinical supervisors, including Kristin Henningsen, Linden de Voil, Betzy Bancroft, and Larken Bunce.
Totally okay! Anyone who has completed the Clinical Program is welcome to participate, even if you haven't finished all your certificate requirements.
