Join Certified Professional Midwife and clinical herbalist Tessa Micaela Landreau-Grasmuck in a discussion of herbal medicine and holistic support strategies for the preconception period.
This two-hour class is an introduction to holistic support for those trying to conceive. We'll cover cycle tracking and optimal timing for achieving pregnancy, strategies to increase chances of conception, identifying and supporting abnormal cycles, preconception lab testing, common supplement and herb facts and myths, as well as tools for navigating clinical fertility treatment. We'll focus on herbal and supportive strategies that can support the body's wisdom, ease discomfort, and support challenges and complications should they arise. We’ll cover safety and shared decision-making tools for the use of herbs while TTC, as well as strategies for transitioning onto pregnancy-safe herbs.
Taught from the midwifery perspective, rooted in the knowledge that menstruation, ovulation, and pregnancy are physiologic and somatic (not pathological) processes that can be supported with the innate wisdom of the body. All levels of knowledge and curiosity are welcome. These classes will be taught with a trauma-informed lens and with a commitment to bodily and collective autonomy; all genders and all bodies are welcome and celebrated.
