Integrative Dreamwork:
From Interpretation
to Conversation

with Julie MacAdam

Dreams invite us into a relationship of deep listening, presence, and reciprocity. When we engage with dreams as animate forces, rather than fixed messages, we shift from analysis to presence; we move beyond interpretation and into conversation.

Building this relationship with dreams, and with our own deep ways of sensing, opens us to a waking life of depth, connection, and embeddedness. We can also extend this way of relating into our interactions with plants and our other kin in the natural world, and into our practices for personal and collective healing.

In the first part of this series, we'll explore a foundational framework for engaging with dreams that honors their depth and mystery — while also giving us a very practical set of tools to work creatively with dreams and their inherent wisdom and support.

In the second session, we’ll move from discussion to direct experience, applying the method and heart postures from the first session to our own dreams. You’ll be invited to bring a dream you’re curious about, and you’ll be guided through a reflective process to engage with and explore your dream. Because dreams are intimate, sharing with the group is optional, with lots of permission and absolutely no expectation. This process provides structure and spaciousness, allowing you to engage at your own pace and in the ways you choose.

This series is for anyone interested in exploring how dreams can teach us about deepening our connection to ourselves, each other and the world around us. It’s ideal for people who are new to dreamwork, including folks who are interested in gaining inspiration from dreams to bring into other healing practices such as herbal therapy, counseling, and somatic practice. Regardless of your prior experience in dream work, you’ll leave with a method to help you open up your dreams and open doorways into a new world of invisible relationships.
