Holding It In: Pelvic Floor Health & Therapeutics

with Sophie Cassel

Course Summary

Urinary incontinence is a pervasive and often underreported problem—but it's not something we just have to live with! While the symptoms and root causes can vary from person to person, herbal support and a basic understanding of pelvic floor and bladder function can make a world of difference.

In this class, we will approach incontinence and general pelvic floor tone from an energetic perspective, merging holistic understandings of bodies, herbs, and science, to give participants strategic tools for themselves and their loved ones struggling with "holding it in". We'll explore the role of the nervous system and muscle tone in regulating bladder function, and discuss assessments, herbs, formulas, and other strategies for supporting urinary health.

This class will focus on pelvic floor anatomy of those with a uterus and/or short urethra, but all bodies and genders are welcome.
