“We are in a time of fertile ground for learning how we align our pleasures with our values, decolonizing our bodies and longings, and getting into a practice of saying an orgasmic yes together, deriving our collective power from our felt sense of pleasure.”
— adrienne maree brown
How do we make space for centering pleasure as a measure of healing and freedom? Guided by the principles of adrienne maree brown’s Pleasure Activism, we will strategize pleasure practices with plants that empower ourselves, our loved ones and our clients who are exploring their sexual and sensual liberation. We will address ways to center ritual over compliance, abundance over scarcity, and pleasure over shame through delicious herbal formulations and flower essences.
This class is ideal for herbalists and herbal students who are interested in:
- Supporting gender-inclusive, pleasure-filled sexuality
- Centering consent and liberation in our relationships Incorporating trauma informed body liberation practices in your life and practice
- Deepening our understanding of pleasure as an essential part of healing trauma
In this class you can expect to learn how to create and formulate with glycerine and flower essences, weave aphrodisiacs into your herbal strategies, and develop your own ritual tools and plant allies for centering pleasure. Facilitated by radical sex educator, postpartum/full spectrum doula, and pleasure activist Kenzie Khaliq, this class will is intended to be a shared learning space, not a therapeutic workshop, but healing may happen here.
