In this three hour class, we'll discuss strategies for support through pregnancy loss, miscarriage and clinical/medical abortion.
Together, we'll discuss the full-spectrum of pregnancy loss/termination experiences, and will investigate the historic and current context of miscarriage and abortion care. Topics include:
Geared towards herbalists, midwives, birth workers and abortion doulas, this class will cover ways to support folks through early pregnancy loss and/or termination, but we will not cover herbs to induce abortion. This class will be taught with a trauma-informed lens and with a commitment to bodily and collective autonomy; all genders and all bodies are welcome.
Tessa Micaela Landreau-Grasmuck (they/them) is a community and clinical herbalist, Certified Professional Midwife and a poet. Tessa graduated from VCIH in 2019 and from Birthwise Midwifery School in 2021, and has been working in generative care and full spectrum reproductive health for over a decade. Tessa currently sees clients, catches babies, teaches classes, and walks with their dog on unceded Abenaki land (central VT/northern NH). They spend lots of time with hands in the dirt, in somatic inquiry and working to build sustainable, liberatory models for collective healing, and organizes with the The Rose Core Collective.
