In this workshop we will get to know a handful of herbs that support healthy digestive function, paired with ideas for how to incorporate them into familiar everyday food and drink routines. These will be herbs one can easily find at the local grocery store, in fact you may already have some of them in your spice drawer! Learn how plant allies can come to the rescue when nausea, bloating, gas and cramping have got you down. A pdf with recipes will be provided to all workshop participants.
I weave together my love of plants with my background as a chef specializing in bioregional cooking and fermentation. My first taste of wild food as a kid strengthened the sense of belonging I feel when surrounded by nature. In my clinical practice I seek to walk alongside and support clients as they build relationships with plants.
In addition to my studies at the Vermont Center for Integrative Herbalism and Wild Ginger Community Herbal Center, my plant medicine education comes from lived-experience of what our plant kin can teach us about the physiological, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of being human.
